The water released from Holm Powerhouse for the Tuolumne River will be turned off tomorrow on August 21. This means no more Cherry Creek or Lower Tuolumne trips for 2005.
There is still good boating to be had in California. The Middle Fork of the American is expected to run through at least September 24th and there will be three more weekends of North Feather Releases this year on August 27&28, September 24&25, and October 15&16! There have been fires on the Rogue for the past few weeks which have caused partial closures of the Wild and Scenic canyon, but these fires are almost in control and the Rogue will make great boating through October. The Lower Klamath and Trinity Rivers should also flow through October as well.
