Really? National Geographic tried to rate the best outfitters on Earth? This seems like an incredibly difficult and subjective task. Having experience as a river guide and knowing the community, the rankings they came up with are ridiculous. Check them out at:

I thought I’d ask river guides out there to rate outfitters. Sort of like how college football does a coach’s poll or the Oscar is voted on by the academy.

Check out the new web site Wet Fleece. This is a site that shares news about various “outdoorsy” topics. Right now there are categories for whitewater and snow.

Anyone can create a login and submit a story about whitewater or skiing. Then other users vote on that story and the votes determine how high the story ranks. This is great way to share stories with others and keep up to date with outdoors news!
